One of the features missing from the Word 2007 ribbon is a command to let you scan an image directly into a Word file. If you can remember the Word 2003
command, however, you’ll find that it works in Word 2007 also: Insert | Picture | From Scanner or Camera, or the keystrokes: Alt-I, P, S.
Yet another option is to go to the Insert ribbon, choose Clip Art, and at the bottom of the Clip Art pane, choose Organize clips. Then, on the Clip Organizer menu, choose File | Add Clips to Organizer | From Scanner or Camera. Scan the image into Clip Organizer, then use the Insert | Clip Art option to insert the scan into the document.
